Robert “Bob” Lee Hoffman II, 62, passed away at his home on Tuesday, March 24, 2020. Bob was born in Mansfield, Ohio, on January 16, 1958. He was the son of Robert and Anna (Thoma) Hoffman.
Bob was employed at Jay Industries and he retired after more than 20 years of service. After retirement, he worked at Lexington Court Care Center in the maintenance department. Bob was a very soft spoken, even tempered man who got along with everyone. Always willing to lend a hand to anyone, Bob valued his service at the Salvation Army where he volunteered and was the proud caregiver of his wife, Debbie as well. As a music enthusiast, Bob had a great ear for music with a recording studio in his home for many years. He was a member of Real Life Community Church where he played the drums and helped with the sound system. He was an animal lover and had many dogs over the years who were like his children. A great love for nature, Bob enjoyed long bike rides, camping and fishing.
He leaves behind his loving wife whom he married on July 1, 1989, Debbie (Bogner) Hoffman; his sister, Julie (Donald) Eyerly; his mother-in-law, Barbara Bogner; his sisters-in-law, Amy (Scott) Shrader and Beth (Jason) Leppo; his brother-in-law, Shaun (Amber) Bogner; his best friend, Tony Lowe; many nieces and nephews; and eight great nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; his father-in-law, George Bogner; and his sister-in-law, Heidi Lowe.
The family will observe private services. Bob had a great love for animals, please consider making a memorial contribution in his honor to the Richland County Dog Warden’s office or Richland County Humane Society. The Wappner Cremation Center is honored to serve the Hoffman family.
