Phyllis Dale

Phyllis Dale, 1950 - 2019

Died: March 30, 2019

With the help of the Lord we will write an obituary of a Mother, Grandmother and Sister. Mom was born to the late John and Bessie (Hamilton) Elliott on September 26, 1950. She departed this life on March 30, 2019 at the age of 68. She leaves her husband and mourning her loss two daughters: Melissa Carol and Christine Marie. She is leaving 7 grandchildren Joseph, Joshua, Alyssa, Matthew, Riley, Kadie and Madisyn who loved their grandmother with their whole heart.

Also leaving 2 great grandchildren Noah and Anna.

Mom also leaves 4 brothers: Monford, Ronnie, Basil and John Douglas. Also leaving 3 sisters: Donna Marie, Glenna and Victoria (Vickie) to mourn her loss. Mom worked hard as a nurse and made the best life she could for us, working at Willard hospital for many years.

She was a kind soul and had many nieces, nephews and friends who dearly loved her. Mom was fun to be with teaching, us the love of music and dancing. She loved singing, music and dancing as much as she loved cooking, canning and gardening. Whether it was at home or in the car she always had the music on singing as loud as she could. Later in her life she took up quilting where she made quilts for us girls, grandchildren and family. She made beautiful quilts and took great pride in her work. Whether it was cooking, canning or sewing she always gave it her best.

Writing about Phyllis is the hardest thing I have been asked to do. The love we have for her is more than she could ever have imagined. Our family circle is broken once again, it will never be the same. Our family needs to cherish each other and love like it was our last day. We never know when one of us will be called away from this earth. Memories are something we must live on now. May we always remember the good times where we can laugh, smile and shed many tears. To my family we won’t bow our head in sadness; let us keep our head up high, let’s look up and see Phyllis’s sweet smile. Whether it be her children, grandchildren or brothers and sisters may we always feel the love in our heart for Phyllis by sharing our precious memories of her. She may be gone from this earth, but she will never be forgotten.
