Leslie M. “Big Moe” Allen, of Mansfield, passed away at the age of 72, early Sunday morning, April 12, 2020, at Lexington Court Care Center. He was born January 19, 1948, in Mansfield, Ohio, to the late Ethan Everette and Charlotte Elizabeth (Rock) Allen.
He was a 1966 graduate of Crestview High School and veteran of the U.S. Army. Les worked at Crane Plumbing for 35 years. After his retirement, he had the time to enjoy one of his favorite pastimes-fishing. He greatly enjoyed the company of his grandchildren and his canine companions.
Les is survived by a daughter, Lisa Knuckles (Kirk Bennett); a daughter-in-law, Brandy Allen; five grandchildren, Hunter Knuckles (Emily Long), Leif Pry, Addison Baugh, Mackenzie (Dustin) Adams, and Eden Allen; four great-grandchildren, Keleana, Khloe, Kenlie, and Alyssa; four siblings, Dixie Murphy, Bill (Charlotte) Allen, Mary Lord, and Linda Bodes; numerous nieces and nephews including a special niece, Shea-ann Murphy. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, John Allen; granddaughter, Autumn Allen; and sister, Londa McCormick.
Memorial services will be observed at a later date. The Wappner Cremation Center is honored to serve the family.
