As the news of COVID-19 spreads throughout our community and the world, we want to assure everyone that Wappner Funeral Directors is operating with an abundance of caution regarding health and safety. We are monitoring the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and Ohio Department of Health statements and following the guidelines from these agencies.
We understand the importance of providing emotional support to others in the loss of a loved one. Following the direction of the Ohio Department of Health, we recommend keeping visitations and gatherings to less than 50 people. As this situation evolves, we will continue to work to ensure all families are able to celebrate their loved one’s memory. However, we ask that you assist us in limiting the spread of the virus by limiting the number of individuals gathered in one place.
In an effort to minimize potential exposure, we ask that you consider avoiding shaking hands and having close physical contact with others. We request that guests who are experiencing symptoms refrain from attending arrangement conferences, visitations and services. Our website allows you to express your condolences to the family if you choose not to attend the service. If the family does not have access to a computer, we will print the condolences for them.
At all our locations we have enhanced cleaning throughout the buildings paying close attention to high touch areas such as doorknobs, faucets, and chairs. Our staff is reminded to implement CDC guidelines to limit the spread of this disease. Employees who exhibit cold or flu symptoms are instructed to stay home from work.
Thank you for understanding the changes needed during these difficult times. Please feel free to call us if you have any questions.
Wappner Funeral Directors encourages everyone to follow the guidelines of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to help prevent the spread of this disease and ensure your individual health and safety.
